I have the Elf
Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Perfect Pink and the Elf Hypershine Gloss in Flirt. From
a distance, these look like the same color, but close up, they clearly aren't
the same color. These two colors are very similar to each other. The Hypershine
Gloss has a brush applicator, while the Luscious Liquid Lipstick has a spongey
applicator. I personally like the Luscious Liquid Lipstick better than the
Hypershine Gloss because the spongey applicator makes it easier to apply to my
lips. If you have very thin lips, this may not be the best lip product for
you.
The cool thing about
these products is that they have a twistable knob at the bottom which pumps the
product into the applicator. When you first purchase one of these, you will
need to twist the knob about 10 times before product reaches the top. The
product in the Hypershine Gloss is very gooey and sticky, while the product in
the Luscious Liquid Lipstick is less sticky and more smooth. I find the spongey
applicator easier to apply, but it gets messier than the Hypershine Gloss around
the rim of the gloss stick.
Perfect Pink is a more pinkish color, while
Flirt is a more peachy-coral color. I like the Perfect Pink color better than
the Flirt color because I think that it is a little "further away"
from my natural lip color. I don't like lip colors that are really close to my
natural lip color. I just seem to enjoy the more pinkish colors better than the
neutral ones because I think they look better on me. You WILL need to reapply
both of these products quite often.
I hope that this review helped you! I have
listed where i got the products, their full names, and their prices
